Anita Dolce Vita, author of dapperQ Style: Ungendering Fashion (Harper Designs), is a writer, speaker, producer, and consultant focusing on LGBTQ entertainment and fashion. She has produced some of the largest queer fashion shows in the United States held at world renowned institutions, such as the Brooklyn Museum and the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston. In 2016, Anita produced and moderated the first ever queer style panel to be featured at the South by Southwest's (SXSW) official Sxstyle week in 2016. SXSW has invited Anita back for five consecutive years to produce and moderate a panel showcasing leading queer fashion thought leaders and entrepreneurs who discussed approaches to anti-oppressive LGBTQ marketing and ungendering fashion. Often called upon as an expert to speak about or comment on queer style, Anita has spoken at SXSW, HBO headquarters, the Brooklyn Museum, The Museum of Fine Art/Boston, the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, Refinery29 panels, the Museum of the City of New York, the ClexaCon Media and Entertainment Convention for LGBTQ, Oberlin College, Estée Lauder brands, and the New York Department of Health.
Currently, Anita is the Owner and Editor in Chief of dapperQ, a leading online queer style magazine, and a contributing fashion editor at Curve, the nation's best selling lesbian print magazine.
